Psyduck (Pokédex. It is a Water Type, and it is known as the Duck Pokémon.) is the 54th Pokémon in the
Psyduck can use one of two Abilities: Damp, which prevents other Pokémon from using Selfdestruct and Explosion while it is in battle, or Cloud Nine, which negates any and all weather effects while it is involved in battle. A third Ability is available to Psyduck from the Dream World, the Swift Swim Ability. This Ability doubles its Speed while it is raining.
Psyduck gain the opportunity to evolve into Golduck starting at Level 33.
Psyduck takes on the appearance of a duck, with some traits of a platypus. It has yellow plumage, it has short arms with three claws at the end. Psyduck is usually seen holding its head. It has three black tuffs on the top of its head and has a large cream-coloured bill. Its webbed feet are also the same colouration as the bill. Psyduck has a stubby tail.

Psyduck doesn't have any differences to differentiate between male and female.

 Original Games
Psyduck appears at the Safari Zone while Surfing in Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. In Fire Red, Diamond, Pearl and Platinum, Psyduck appears at many of the watery locations in which Surfing or Fishing is possible. In Heart Gold and Soul Silver, Psyduck appears at Route 6, Route 35, Ilex Forest, Cerulean Cave, Seafoam Islands and the Safari Zone's Wetland on land at night and Surfing at any time of day. Psyduck also appears on the Beautiful Beach and Stormy Beach Pokéwalker courses.
Psyduck appears in the Dream World at Pleasant Forest after surpassing 7,500 Dream Points. The only other way to obtain a Psyduck in Black and White is to breed a Golduck. Wild Psyduck can be found at Floccesy Ranch in Black 2 and White 2.

Psyduck appears at Huge Storage 4 and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.
In the first round of Mystery Dungeon games, Psyduck is a Starter Pokémon, but also appears at Joyous Tower 9F-12F. Psyduck appears at Waterfall B1-B8 in Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky. Psyduck also appears at Star Cave B8-B15 in Explorers of Sky. Psyduck is exclusive to Light Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing at Light Summit 4F-13F.
Psyduck appears at Saffra Sea during the Sea Capture Challenge in Pokémon Ranger, the only appearance for Psyduck in the Pokémon Ranger games as of writing.

Psyduck is listed in the Wizards Promos set, and as a Common Card in the Fossil, Team Rocket, Gym Challenge (Misty's), Neo Destiny, Aquapolis, EX Sandstorm, EX Team Magma VS Team Aqua, EX Team Rocket Returns, EX Holon Phantoms (Delta Species Card), Secret Wonders, Platinum, Triumphant and Boundaries Crossed (2) sets. Psyduck's lone listing as an Uncommon Card is in the Gym Heroes (Misty's) set.
 Anime/Manga Information
Misty's Psyduck would get cloned by Mewtwo in the film Mewtwo Strikes Back and would reprise its appearance in Mewtwo Returns. Misty's Psyduck also appears in the film The Power of One and each of the first five Pikachu Shorts. Wild Psyduck appear in the film The Rise of Darkrai.
Earl has a Psyduck that he keeps with him at the Pokémon Academy, which makes appearances in Chapters 117, 119 and 180.
An Oreburgh Mines worker has a Psyduck that is nicknamed "Yellow". This Psyduck accidentally set a bulldozer out of control, and makes appearances in Chapters 341, 342 and 374.
