Rampardos (ラムパルド) is the 37th Pokémon in the Sinnoh Pokédex. It is a Rock-Type, and it is known as the Head Butt Pokémon.
Rampardos uses the Mold Breaker Ability. This Ability allows its moves to work as they normally would regardless of the Ability that the opponent is using. A second Ability is available to Rampardos from the Dream World, the Sheer Force Ability. This Ability increases the power of its attacks that have a secondary effect by 33%, but those secondary effects are lost, which also include Life Orb recoil.
Cranidos can evolve into Rampardos at Level 30.
Rampardos is in the Monster Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 7,680 Steps to hatch. It takes Rampardos 600,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Rampardos also has four spikes in the back of its head and two in the front. There are an additional two spikes on its neck, and on each leg. Rampardos has blue stripes all over its body.
[edit] Gender Differences
Rampardos does not have any gender differences.
[edit] Game Information
[edit] Original Games
The only way to obtain a Rampardos is to evolve a Cranidos, which is consistent in both Generation IV and Generation V.
[edit] Spin-Off Games
Rampardos appears at Hidden Land 1F-15F & I1F-8F in Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, but Rampardos cannot be recruited here, which leaves evolution as the only means of obtaining Rampardos in these three games. Rampardos is exclusive to Light Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing at Weird Forest 1F-12F.
Rampardos is a Boss Pokémon in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, but can be obtained at Peril Cliff on a subsequent trip after winning the Boss Battle. In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, Rampardos appears at Rasp Cavern's Exit and within the Submarine after it crashes in the Present, and in the Thunder Temple missions "Pikachu Pursuit!" and "Panic at the Perplexing Temple" by defeating it or its pre-evolved form and obtaining its Slate.
Rampardos can be found at World Axle Cave B2 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.
[edit] Trading Card Game
Rampardos is listed in Pokémon Organized Play Series 6 as a Rare Card, and is listed as a Rare Card in the Mysterious Treasures, Platinum, and Rising Rivals sets.
[edit] Anime/Manga Information
[edit] Anime
Roark used a Rampardos in Ash's rematch in the Oreburgh Gym. Rampardos defeated Aipom and Pikachu before falling to Turtwig. Roark would also use his Rampardos in a battle against his father Byron, who would best Rampardos with a Bastiodon.
[edit] Movies
Roark's Rampardos and a Wild Rampardos appear in the film Zoroark: Master of Illusions.
[edit] Manga
Rampardos's Manga Information is unknown as of writing.
[edit] Pokémon Information
[edit] Competitive Battling
Rampardos boasts the highest Attack Statistic outside the Uber Tier and third highest Attack behind only Black Kyurem and Deoxys Attack Forme, but its defenses and Speed really let it down, relegating it to the Never-Utilized and Rarely-Utilized Tiers of Competitive Battling. Its high Attack is a legitimate threat to sweep, especially with Trick Room support, but faster Pokémon--especially those that use Special Attacks--could easily defeat it in one hit.
