Regice (レズアイス) is the 194th Pokémon in the Hoenn Pokédex. It is an Ice Type, and it is known as the Iceberg Pokémon.
Regice has the Clear Body Ability. This Ability makes it immune to having its Statistics lowered from an opponent's attack, but can still reduce its own Statistics as a result of its own attacks, such as Superpower. A second Ability is available to Regice from the Dream World, the Ice Body Ability. This Ability restores its HP while it is Hailing.
Regice does not evolve and doesn't have a pre-evolved form.
Regice is in the Undiscovered Egg Group; like most Legendary Pokémon it cannot breed. It takes a Regice 1,250,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

[edit] Game Information
[edit] Original Games
Regice can be found at the Island Cave alongside Route 105 in Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. In Pokémon Platinum, Regice can appear inside Mt. Coronet at the Iceberg Ruins. Regice won't appear in Platinum unless the 11th Movie Regigigas has been transferred over to Platinum.
Regice can be found inside the Iceberg Chamber in the Underground Ruins in Black 2 and White 2. After capturing Regirock in Pokémon White 2, you'll receive the Glacier Key. Activating this key in menu when starting the game will grant access to the Iceberg Chamber; to receive this key in Pokémon Black 2 you'll have to receive the key in a trade via the Unova Link feature.
[edit] Spin-off Games
Regice does not appear very often, limited to appearing at Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.
Regice appears on the 25th Floor of Buried Relic in the first round of Mystery Dungeon games. In Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness & Explorers of Sky, Regice appears at Aegis Cave inside of the Regice Room. While it can't be recruited on the first trip, it can be recruited on the second trip. Regice is exclusive to Stormy Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing on the 24th Floor of Weird Rockland.
Regice appears at Panulla Cave, but the Field Assists Fire x3, Break x3 and Cross are all required to reach it in Pokémon Ranger. Regice also appears in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, but the Field Assist Flame x5 is required to reveal it. Regice does not appear in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs.
Regice can be found at Frozen Tundra Glacier 4-1 in Pokémon Rumble Blast after completing the game.
[edit] Trading Card Game
Regice appears in a total of five sets and the Pokémon Card Game Promos in Japan as a Rare Card. It is listed as a Rare Card in the EX Hidden Legends (EX Card), EX Emerald (EX Card), EX Legend Maker (Shiny Card), EX Holon Phantoms, and Legends Awakened sets--the same sets in which Regirock also appears in.
[edit] Anime/Manga Information
[edit] Anime
Brandon used a Regice in his third battle against Ash in the episode Pace - The Final Frontier!. Regice would face off against Ash's Pikachu for the final part of the battle. Pikachu would emerge victorious, winning Ash the Brave Symbol.
Brandon's Regice would appear again in the episodes A Pyramiding Rage! and Pillars of Friendship in which Regice-along with Regirock and Registeel-were under the spell of Regigigas, who was enraged by Hunter J. The Legendary Golems would eventually come to their senses and calm Regigigas.
[edit] Movies
Wild Regice appeared in the film Lucario and the Mystery of Mew and the Pikachu Short Pikachu's Exploration Club.
[edit] Manga
Regice would first appear under the command of Glacia and Phoebe of Hoenn's Elite Four in an attempt to bring the damage caused by the Groudon/Kyogre conflict under control, along with both Regirock and Registeel. It would appear with Hoenn's Elite Four in Chapters 251, 252, 254, 255, 260, 261 & 264.
Like Regirock it would break away from the Elite Four's control after the apparent death of Steven, only to be found and captured by Brandon, who would proceed to use Regice against challengers in the Battle Pyramid. With Steven, Regice appears in Chapters 303, 311-313, 315 & 318.
[edit] Pokémon Information
[edit] Competitive Battling
Regice finds itself in the Never-Utilized and Rarely-Utilized Tiers of Competitive Battling. Its Special Defense is second-highest in the game, trailing only Shuckle in this regard, which is great for walling Gorebyss, but the good news doesn't stop there. In addition to having good Defense and Special Attack, it has access to both Thunderbolt and Ice Beam, which is a very tough combination to go against offensively.
While it has great defenses, Regice wasn't blessed with a very good type, which only has one defensive advantage (Ice). Because of this, it'll get worn down relatively quicker than one would think. But whatever goes against Regice should be prepared for a Status Condition move, such as Thunder Wave, which will offset its low Speed.
