Roost is a Flying-Type move introduced in Generation IV. The user lands to rest its body and recover 50% of its max HP. If the user is a Flying-type, that Flying-type is nullified for the rest of the turn; otherwise, there is no secondary effect. Levitate is not affected.

This move was contained within TM51 in Generation IV, then became a Move Tutor move in the Generation V games Black 2 and White 2. Roost would return to a TM in Generation VI, this time becoming the move contained within TM19.
