Roserade (ロズレイド) is the 27th Pokémon in the Sinnoh Pokédex. It is a Grass/Poison Type, and is known as the Bouquet Pokémon.

Roserade can have one of two Abilities: Natural Cure, which heals any status conditions that it may have become afflicted with; or Poison Point, an Ability that has a 30% chance of poisoning an opponent that uses an attack that requires physical contact against a Pokémon with this Ability, except for another Poison Type or a Steel Type, or a Pokémon that has the Immunity Ability.

A third Ability is available to Roserade from the Dream World, the Technician Ability. This Ability increases the Base Power of all moves that have a Base Power less than or equal to 60 by 50%.

Budew can evolve into a Roselia by forming a strong bond with its trainer and then levelling up during the Daytime; a Friendship evolution. Roselia can evolve into Roserade when a Shiny Stone is used on it.

Roserade is in the Egg Groups Fairy and Grass, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch; a Roselia will hatch unless the Roselia or Roserade in the breeding pair is holding a Rose Incense. If this happens, a Budew will hatch instead, requiring the same number of Steps. It takes Roserade 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

[edit] Biology

[edit] Physiology

Roserade takes the apperance of a plant that has two bouquets of roses, one in each hand. Its head appears to be growing lightly-colored hair.

[edit] Gender Differences

The leaf-like cape is longer on a Female Roserade than the Male Roserade.

[edit] Game Information

[edit] Original Games

Roserade can only be obtained by evolving a Roselia in Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, Soul Silver and White. In Black 2 and White 2, Roserade can be found on Route 12, Abundant Shrine and Victory Road.

[edit] Spin-off Games

Roserade appears at Mystery Jungle B1-B29 at random in Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky. Roserade is exclusive to Dungeon Stormy Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3. It appears on the Path to Treasure Mountain B15-B24.

Roserade appears at Vien Forest in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia after an in-game Quest is completed, but the Field Assist Surf is required to reach it. Roserade appears in the main room on the second and third floors of the Sky Fortress in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs in the Present. Roserade does not appear in the past missions.

Roserade appears at World Axle Treetops B2 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.

[edit] Trading Card Game

Roserade appears in a total of seven sets. It is listed as an Uncommon Card in the Supreme Victors set. Roserade is listed as a Rare card in the Diamond and Pearl, Secret Wonders, Stormfront, Rising Rivals (Gym Leader card: Gardenia), Supreme Victors (Cynthia Card), and Unleashed sets.

[edit] Anime/Manga Information

[edit] Anime

Roserade has appeared with many different trainers. Gardenia used a Roserade in a Gym Battle against Ash, whose Aipom was victorious against Gardenia's Roserade. Drew's Roselia also evolved into a Roserade, as did Nando's.

Barry's Roserade went against Ash's Pokémon in the epsiode Barry's Busting Out All Over!. It defeated Ash's Chimchar and Gliscor before being substituted for his Empoleon.

[edit] Movies

Gardenia and her Roserade make an appearance in Zoroark: Master of Illusions. Wild Roserade appear in the films The Rise of Darkrai and Arceus and the Jewel of Life.

[edit] Manga

Roserade's Manga info is unknown at this time.

[edit] Pokémon Information

[edit] Competitive Battling

Roserade finds itself in the Under-Utilized and Over-Utilized Tiers of Competitive Battling. It remains a threat when it comes to leaving Entry Hazards, and has strong Special Attack and Special Defense Statistics with a solid Speed to back it up. Its frail Defense leaves something to be desired
