During a Sandstorm, a Pokémon with the Sand Veil Ability receive an increase in their Evasion by one level.

When a Pokémon with the Sand Veil Ability is in the party's lead spot, the chances of encountering a Wild Pokémon decreases to 50% during a Sandstorm.
