Sandile (メグロコ) is the 57th Pokémon in the Unova Pokédex. It is a Ground/Dark Type, and it is known as the Desert Croc Pokémon.

Sandile's Abilities are Intimidate, which lowers the opponent's Attack stat by one stage upon this Pokémon's entry into battle, an effect that works on both opponents in a Double Battle; and Moxie, which increases the Attack stat by one stage when the Pokémon KO's another Pokémon. Its Hidden Ability is Anger Point, which increases the Attack stat to its maximum level upon taking a Critical Hit.

Sandile have the potential of evolving twice. Its first opportunity comes at Level 29, which is when it can evolve into Krokorok. At Level 40, it can evolve a second time into Krookodile.

Sandile is in the Field Egg Group, and it will take approximately 5,120 steps for its Egg to hatch. It takes Sandile 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Original Games

Sandile can be found at Route 4, Desert Resort, and Relic Castle in Black and White. In Black 2 and White 2, Sandile can be found at Route 4, Desert Resort and Relic Castle.

In Pokémon X and Y, Sandile can be caught in the wild at Route 9 and in the Friend Safari. It also appears at Route 111 in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire using the DexNav feature on the PokéNav Plus, after the defeat or capture of Groudon or Kyogre.

In Pokémon Sun and Moon, Sandile can be caught in the Haina Desert.

Spin-off Games

Sandile appears at Sea Song Beach in the Cove Area in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond. It can be befriended by defeating Krokorok, after which you'll be able to call Sandile into battle.

Sandile appears within the Earth Nation, Pointy Rock Nation, and Shadow Nation in Pokémon Conquest.

Trading Card Game

Sandile appear in five sets and Japanese promotional set Journey Friends, a McDonalds Promo, the Everyone's Exciting Battle gift set, and the Black/White Promo set. Sandile is listed as a Common Card in the Black&White, Emerging Powers, Dark Explorers, Plasma Freeze and XY sets.

Anime/Manga Information

Anime

Sandile has already had a few appearances in the Best Wishes Anime. Its first was in the episode A Sandile Gusher of Change, in which a group of Sandile were trapped by a flash-flood of boiling hot water, but were able to help rescue some Wild Pokémon with Ash's assistance. One of these Sandile would begin to follow Ash and company, appearing in a few other episodes until evolving into Krokorok prior to appearing in the episode Battling the Bully!.

Movies

Sandile has yet to make an appearance in the Movies.
