Series 1: The Indigo League

This series follows a boy named Ash Ketchum, who has turned 10 years old and is excited to become a Pokemon Trainer. He wants to go on a Pokemon journey in hopes that he becomes a Pokemon Master. The original 3 starters weren't available for selection, but there was a [[Pikachu]. Ash chooses him without hesitation, and the two set off on their journey throughout the Kanto region. Ash meets Misty, whose goal is to become the greatest Water Pokemon Trainer, and Brock, whose goal is to become a Pokemon Breeder. Both, Misty and Brock eventually decides to accompany Ash on his journey.

The US dub of Ash's journey throughout the Kanto region is comprised into one season titled:
