Series 2: The Orange League

The Orange League is an anime exclusive arc that takes place between the conclusion of the Indigo League and the Johto arc. This was created due to the 2nd generation of Pokemon being in development.

Ash, Misty, and Brock set out for Valencia Island, to meet with Professor Ivy to receive a GS Ball, as requested by Professor Oak. Brock decides to remain as an assistant to Professor Ivy, while Ash and Misty head off, in which they eventually meet Tracey. Tracey explains to Ash about the Orange League and what he needs to do in order to participate. Ash makes the decision to travel the Orange Islands and compete, with Misty and Tracey accompanying him.

The US dub of the Orange Islands is titled:

• Pokemon: Adventure in the Orange Islands.
