Sigilyph can have one of two Abilities: Wonder Skin, which causes moves that only affect status conditions work only half the time, reducing the Accuracy of such moves as Confuse Ray, Spore and Thunder Wave, for examples; or Magic Guard, preventing damage from everything but moves that attack. A third Ability is available to Sigilyph from the Dream World, the Tinted Lens Ability. This Ability doubles the power of moves that are "not very effective".
Sigilyph does not evolve and doesn't have a pre-evolved form.
Sigilyph is in the Flying Egg Group, and its egg takes about 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Sigilyph One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.
Sigilyph takes on the appearance of a bird that has connections to the ancient past.
 Gender Differences

 Pokémon Information
 Competitive Battling
Sigilyph is in the Rarelyused (RU) tier of competitive battling. As among the tier's most threatening Pokémon to face, Sigilyph is blessed with great coverage, an amazing ability in Magic Guard, and versatility in its sets. It has a solid base 103 Special Attack and decent Speed to go along with numerous offensive moves, such as Psyshock, Psychic, Heat Wave, Energy Ball, Dazzling Gleam, and Air Slash. With its expansive offensive movepool, it can tailor its coverage to take care of specific threats, something that not a lot of Pokémon in RU can do. Magic Guard negates Life Orb recoil and makes it so Sigilyph cannot be worn down by Stealth Rock or residual damage. Sigilyph's best set is a Life Orb set that acts as a strong offensive threat that can be difficult to deal with. Another viable set is a Flame Orb Calm Mind set which can burn many of its counters and beat them as it boosts up. While Sigilyph is a top tier threat, it has its fair share of flaws, such as common weaknesses, trouble with Pursuit users, and being outsped by certain threats like Delphox and Mega Glalie.
