Simisear (バオッキー) is the 20th Pokémon in the Unova Pokédex. It is a Fire Type, and it is known as the Ember Pokémon.

Simisear uses the Gluttony Ability. This Ability allows it to consume a held Berry earlier than normal as a result of HP loss. Simisear's Hidden Ability is the Blaze Ability. This Ability increases the power of its Fire-Type attacks by 50% when its HP falls below one-third of its maximum.

Pansear evolves to Simisear when a Fire Stone is used on it.

Simisear is in the Field Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Simisear One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Simisear has the appearance of a red monkey with flame-like patterns on its head and tail.

Gender Differences

Simisear has no distinguished features that differentiate between male or female.

Game Information

Original Games

Simisear can only be obtained by evolving a Pansear in Black, White, Black 2 and White 2, along with Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

Spin-off Games

Simisear can be found at Withered Savannah, Holehills, Windy Shoreline, Canyon Foot, Mirage Sands, Smoking Mountain, Cape at the Edge, Strongest Trail and Ultimate Wilds in Gates to Infinity.

Simisear can be found at Echo Valley Cave 1-3 and World Axle Magma B1 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.

The method of obtaining Simisear is the same in Pokémon Conquest as it is in the other Generation V games: evolving Pansear.

Trading Card Game

A total of six Simisear cards are in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It is listed as an Uncommon Card in the Noble Victories and Plasma Storm sets; and as a Rare Card in the Black&White, Emerging Powers, Next Destinies and XY sets.

Anime/Manga Information

A trainer named Getty would use a Simisear in Search for the Clubultimate!. It was defeated by a Simipour that used Low Sweep.

A wild Simisear appears in the episode Emolga and the New Volt Switch, scaring off three Watchog with a Flamethrower before turning its attention to Emolga, Axew and Oshawott. It dispatched Oshawott before Snivy and Emolga calmed it down.

Simisear has yet to appear in the Movies as of writing.

Chili's Pansear would evolve into a Simisear at the P2 Laboratory whilst battling the Shadow Triad in Chapter 54 of the Black & White Manga.

Pokémon Information

Competitive Battling

Simisear is a viable choice for the NU and RU tiers thanks to having good base Speed and access to a wide offensive movepool with Nasty Plot to boost its Special Attack. It will need support to remove Stealth Rock off the field and keep it off the field, however.
