Skitty only had the Cute Charm Ability available when it was introduced in Generation III. This Ability causes a Pokémon of the opposite gender that uses an attack that requires physical contact against the Pokémon with this Ability to become Infatuated 30% of the time. Generation IV added a second Ability to Skitty, the Normalize Ability, an Ability that turns all moves that it knows into a Normal-Type move regardless of what type it would normally be. Skitty's Hidden Ability is the Wonder Skin Ability, an Ability that causes moves that only afflict status conditions (such as Confuse Ray or Will-O-Wisp, for examples) to work only half the time.

Skitty doesn't have any differences to differentiate between male and female.
