Slakoth (ナマケロ) is the 36th Pokémon in the Hoenn Pokédex. It is a Normal Type, and it is known as the Slacker Pokémon.
Slakoth uses the Truant Ability. This Ability restricts it from attacking on consecutive turns.
Slakoth gain the opportunity to evolve into a Vigoroth starting at Level 18. It can evolve a second time into Slaking starting at Level 36.
Slakoth is in the Field Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 3,840 Steps to hatch. It takes Slakoth 1,250,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

As its name implies, Slakoth takes on the appearance of a sloth.

Slakoth appears in the Petalburg Woods in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald.
In Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, Slakoth appear in the Eterna Forest during a Swarm, an event that starts to occur once the Elite 4 is defeated and the National Pokédex has been obtained.
Slakoth can be found by using Headbutt on a Special Tree Route 25 in Heart Gold and Soul Silver. The Special Tree is the second tree to the left at the northwest corner of the route.
Slakoth appears at White Forest in Pokémon White. In Black 2 and White 2, the only way to obtain a Slakoth is to breed one of its evolved forms.

Slakoth appears at Huge Storage 3, Endless Level 50, Forever Level 9 and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.
Slakoth appears at Sinister Woods 10F-12F and Joyous Tower 18F-20F in the first Mystery Dungeon game. In Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, Slakoth appears at Crevice Cave at random B1-B10, DP B1-B4 and Mt. Avalanche at random from B1-B19. Slakoth appears in all three versions of Mystery Dungeon 3. It appears at the first 10 floors of Secret Archipelago in Blazing Adventure Squad, the first 10 floors of Secret Highland in Stormy Adventure Squad, and the first 10 floors of Secret Rockmountain in Light Adventure Squad.
Slakoth appears at the Olive Jungle in Pokémon Ranger, but the Field Assist Tackle is required to bring it down from the tree that it is hiding in. Slakoth appears at the Ranger School in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, but the Field Assist Slam is needed to shake it from its tree. Slakoth does not appear in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs.
Slakoth can be found at Desolated Ruins Canyon 3-1 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.

Slakoth appears in seven sets. It is listed as a Common Card in the EX Sandstorm, EX Deoxys, EX Power Keepers, Mysterious Treasures, Platinum and Dragons Exalted sets. It is listed as an Uncommon Card in the EX Ruby and Sapphire set, the set in which Slakoth-along with several other Generation III Pokémon-made their TGC debuts.

Ash would battle the Slakoth belonging to Petalburg City Gym Leader Norman in the episode Balance of Power! with his Torkoal after his Pikachu was recalled to the sidelines during the match.
Notably, a group of Wild Slakoth appeared in the episode The Garden Of Eatin', in which the gang helped to repulse a wild Snorlax that was causing trouble at a banana orchard.
