Spheal (タマザラシ) is the 173rd Pokémon in the Hoenn Pokédex. It is a Water/Ice Type, and it is known as the Clap Pokémon.
Spheal's Ability when it was introduced in Generation III is Thick Fat. This Ability cuts the amount of damage that it takes from Fire and Ice Type moves by 50%. A second Ability became available to Spheal in Generation IV, the Ice Body Ability. This Ability restores its HP while it is hailing. A third Ability is available to Spheal from the Dream World, the Oblivious Ability. This Ability prevents it from becoming infatuated as a result from the move Attract or the Cute Charm Ability.
Spheal gains the opportunity to evolve into a Sealeo starting at Level 32, and can evolve a second time into a Walrein starting at Level 44.
Spheal is in the Egg Groups Water 1 and Field, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Spheal 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.
