Stealth Rock is a fairly unique Rock Type move introduced in Generation IV.
It drops a layer of "Pointed Rocks" on the opponents side of the field causing all Pokemon who switch in to take damage.
It takes 12.5% of the opponent's max HP but is effected by weakness and resistance, and as a result can cause between 3.125% and 50% damage.

Super effective on both types = 50%
Super effective on one type, neutral on the other = 25%
Neutral on both types, or Super Effective on one type but Resisted by the other = 12.5%
Resisted by one type, neutral on the other = 6.25%
Resisted by both types = 3.125%

Although no Pokémon learn it naturally, many learn it via TM76 in Generation IV. Some Pokémon can learn Stealth Rock naturally in Generation V.
It can be cleared by the moves Rapid Spin and Defog.
