Steel

The Steel Type first appeared in Generation II. Steel Types have a hardy reputation for their resilient nature and exceptional Defense and Special Defense stats. It is the most defensively-inclined type, boasting a resistance to 11 of the 17 types and an invaluable immunity to the Poison Type.

In a similar respect to the Ice Type, the Steel Type is often sought after for its ability to counter powerful Dragon Type Pokémon.
