Stunfisk (マッギョ) is the 124th Pokémon in the Unova Pokédex. It is an Electric/Ground Type, and it is known as the Trap Pokémon. Stunfisk is the only known Pokémon with this typing classification.

Stunfisk have two possible abilities: Static and Limber. Both involve the Paralysis condition; Static has a 30% chance of paralyzing an opponent if its attack makes contact with the Pokémon, and Limber grants immunity to paralysis for Pokémon that possess it. A third Ability is available to Stunfisk that come from the Dream World, the Sand Veil Ability. This Ability raises the Pokémon's evasion by one level during a Sandstorm.

Stunfisk doesn't evolve and doesn't have a pre-evolved form.

Stunfisk is in the Egg Groups Water 1 and Amorphous, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Stunfisk One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.

[edit] Competitive Battling

Stunfisk is in the Never-Utilized and Rarely-Utilized Tiers of competitive battling. Despite being in these two tiers, Stunfisk's unique Electric/Ground typing, 104 / 84 / 99 defenses, and decent movepool allow it to be a decent mixed tank in both tiers. While it won't be breaking through strong special walls such as Regice or Altaria any time soon, nor will it be standing up to the likes of Roselia or Jynx in any situation, Stunfisk can still serve to stop the likes of Braviary and select other threats in either tier.
