Suction Cups is an Ability that was introduced in Generation III. Currently, five Pokémon have this ability.

In-Battle

A Pokémon with the Suction Cups Ability is firmly anchored in the battle, preventing the opponent from forcing a substitution by using either of the following moves:

Overworld

If a Pokémon with Suction Cups is in the party's lead spot, Pokémon will be easier to hook while fishing. This was first implemented in Pokémon Emerald.
