Sunflora (キマワリ) is the 104th Pokémon in the Johto Pokédex, and the 192nd Pokémon in the National Pokédex. It is a Grass-Type, and it is known as the Sun Pokémon.

Sunflora can have one of two Abilities: Chlorophyll, which doubles its Speed while the weather is Clear Skies; or Solar Power, which increases its Special Attack by 50% during periods of strong sunshine, but at the cost of some HP on each turn. A third Ability is available to Sunflora that come from the Dream World, the Early Bird Ability. This Ability affects reduces the amount of time that it is afflicted by the Sleep Status Condition by 50%.

Sunkern evolve into Sunflora when a Sun Stone is used on it.

Sunflora is in the Grass Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Sunflora 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Game Information

Original Games

The only main games in which Sunflora can be found in the wild is Black and White. In these games Sunflora can be found on Route 12. The only other way to obtain a Sunflora in the other main games is to evolve a Sunkern.

Spin-Off Games

Sunflora is a Shadow Pokémon obtainable in Pokémon Colosseum. It can be Snagged at Realgam Tower's Dome from Cipher Peon Baila.

Sunflora appears at Endless Levels 54 & 58, Forever Level 4 and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.

Sunflora can only be obtained by evolving a Sunkern in the first round of Mystery Dungeon games. Sunflora appears at Mystery Jungle B1-B29 in Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky. Sunflora also appears at Happy Outlook B1-B19 in Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, and at Joy Cape B1-B19 in Explorers of Sky. Sunflora is exclusive to Light Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing at Shady Rockland B1-B15.

Sunflora has made only one appearance in the Pokémon Ranger games, appearing at the Ashai Exit portion of Mitonga Road during the Present Era in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs. In the Past Missions Sunflora can be obtained by completing the Dark Template Mission "A Fork in the Dark Road" with an A Rank.

Sunflora can be found at Echo Valley Forest 1-3 in Pokémon Rumble Blast after completing the game.

Trading Card Game

Sunflora is listed as a Common Card in the Neo Destiny and Skyridge sets, and as an Uncommon Card in the Neo Genesis set. Sunflora is listed as a Rare Card in the EX Unseen Forces, Secret Wonders and HeartGold/SoulSilver sets.

Anime/Manga Information

Anime

Two different trainers and a Nurse Joy were featured in the episode Grin to Win. More recently, Nando would use a Sunflora in a few of his appearances, starting with The Secret Sphere of Influence.

Movies

Another trainer uses a Sunflora during the film Arceus and the Jewel of Life. Wild Sunflora appeared in the film Zoroark: Master of Illusions, along with the Pikachu shorts "Pikachu & Pichu" and "Pikachu's Pikaboo."
