Sunkern (ヒマナッツ) is the 103rd Pokémon in the Johto Pokédex, and the 191st Pokémon in the National Pokédex. It is a Grass Type, and it is known as the Seed Pokémon.
Both of Sunkern's regular Abilities activate during Clear Skies: Chlorophyll, which doubles its Speed, or Solar Power, which increases its Special Attack by 50% at a cost of some HP each turn. Both Abilities require the usage of the Drought Ability or the move Sunny Day to activate.
A third Ability is available to Sunkern that come from the Dream World, the Early Bird Ability. This Ability limits the Sleep Status Condition, reducing the amount of time that this Pokémon is under the Sleep Condition in half.
Sunkern can evolve into Sunflora by using a Sun Stone.
Sunkern is in the Grass Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Sunkern 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.
