Take Down is a Normal-Type move in which the user recklessly charges into its target, slamming it with the full force of its body. As a result of the reckless nature of this move, the user takes 25% of the damage inflicted as recoil damage.

Pokémon with the Rock Head Ability are immune to the recoil effects, whereas Pokémon with the Reckless Ability will do more damage using this move, but take more recoil damage as a result.

Take Down was contained within TM09 in Generation I.
