Thundurus (ボルトロス) is the 148th Pokemon in the Unova Pokédex. He is an Electric/Flying Type, and is known as the Bolt Strike Pokémon.

Thundurus uses the Prankster Ability in its Incarnate Forme. Using this Ability, the Speed Priority of its moves that are in the Status Category by one. In its Therian Forme, Thundurus uses the Volt Absorb Ability. This Ability restores up to 25% of its Maximum HP when it gets hit by an Electric-Type move.

Thundurus from the Dream World uses the Defiant Ability. When an opposing Pokémon uses a move that lowers its Statistics, its Attack increases by two stages when Thundurus is using this Ability.

Thundurus doesn't evolve and doesn't have a pre-evolved form.

Thundurus is in the Undiscovered Egg Group; like most Legendary Pokémon Thundurus cannot breed. It takes Thundurus 1,250,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Thundurus takes on the appearance of a blue genie riding on a cloud when he is in its Incarnate Forme.

When he's in its Therian Forme, Thundurus takes on the appearance of a blue floating dragon. The thorn on Thundurus's head is larger in this forme compared to its Incarnate Forme, and the paws on the end of its arms are considerably larger as well.

Thundurus can be found Roaming Unova in Pokémon White. While Thundurus doesn't appear in Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2, it can be obtained in the Spin-Off game Pokémon Dream Radar after completing the Miracle Stage.

To change between Thundurus's Incarnate Forme and Therian Forme, use the Reflecting Mirror.

Thundurus appears at the Crag Area's Colosseum in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond after completing the game and befriending Tornadus. To befriend Thundurus you'll have to face it in a Tag Race.

[edit] Competitive Battling

Thundurus' resides in the Uber tier of competitive battling. After spending a few months in the OU (OverUsed) tier of competitive battling, it was deemed too powerful for standard play and banned to the Ubers tier, due to the lack of many viable counters and it's immense power after a Nasty Plot. It's Therian form currently resides in the Overused tier, but unlike its Incarnate form, it does not have the same high speed Thundurus had. But it can utilize it's 145 Special Attack to pull off a Nasty Plot, Agility, or Choice Scarf set. The Therian form also suffers from frailty, just like Thundurus when it was OU, and is very vulnerable to revenge killing if it does not have an Agility up its sleeve.
