Trapinch (ナックラー) is the 116th Pokémon in the Hoenn Pokédex. It is a Ground-Type, and it is known as the Ant Pit Pokémon.
Trapinch can have one of two Abilities: Hyper Cutter, which prevents opponents from reducing its Attack with a move such as Growl but does not prevent it from reducing its own Attack stat with a move such as Superpower; or Arena Trap, preventing an opponent from running away or switching out. Flying Types and Pokémon with the Levitate Ability aren't effected by Arena Trap, however.
A third Ability is available to Trapinch from the Dream World, the Sheer Force Ability, increasing the power of moves with a secondary effect by 33%, but at the expense of those secondary effects as they are lost.
Trapinch gains the opportunity to evolve into Vibrava starting at Level 35. It can evolve a second time into Flygon starting at Level 45.
Trapinch is in the Bug Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Trapinch 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.
