Venipede (フシデ) is the 49th Pokémon in the Unova Pokédex. It is a Bug/Poison type, and it is known as the Centipede Pokémon.

Venipede can have one of two Abilities: Poison Point, which has a 30% chance of poisoning the opponent when its uses an attack that requires physical contact against this Pokémon with the exception of Pokémon with the Immunity ability and Poison-or-Steel-types, or Swarm, which increases the power of Bug-Type attacks by 1.5 times when this Pokémon's HP falls below one-third of its maximum. Venipede's Hidden Ability the Quick Feet Ability, which increases Speed by 50% when a status is induced on it with the acceptions of Paralysis, and-in this instance-Poisoning because Poison-Types cannot be Poisoned.

Venipede can evolve twice. Its first chance to evolve comes at Level 22, which is when it can evolve into Whirlipede. Whirlipede can evolve into Scolipede when it reaches Level 30.

Venipede is in the Bug Egg Group, and it's Egg will take approximately 3,840 Steps to hatch. It takes Venipede 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Venipede takes the appearance of a small centipede with antennae and a tail section similar to that of the "house centipede" albeit with shorter legs.

Venipede can be found inside the Pinwheel Forest and the Lostlorn Forest in Black and White. In Black 2 and White 2, Venipede can be found at Route 20 and Lostlorn Forest.

Venipede appears at the Arbor Area's Verdant Courts in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond. It can be befriended by defeating it in battle, after which you'll be able to call it into battle.

Venipede appears within the Pupa Nation, Poison Fang Nation and Dragon Nation in Pokémon Conquest.
