 Pokémon Information
 Competitive Battling
Victini is in the Borderline (BL) tier of competitive battling, which means that it is banned from Underused (UU) but not used enough to be officially in the Overused (OU) tier. With access to its signature move V-create and a wide offensive movepool, Victini can be a very potent wallbreaker that can be quite difficult to wall. Victini also has a typing that allows for it to check numerous threats, such as Breloom, Mega Scizor, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Metagross. Its best set is a mixed attacking set that uses coverage moves like Bolt Strike, Glaciate, and either Energy Ball or Grass Knot alongside V-create to take out numerous defensive Pokémon. Victini can also run a Choice Band set that gets the maximum power out of V-create and can act as a decent pivot with U-turn or cripple a defensive wall with Trick. However, Victini suffers from the side effects of V-create, which drops its Speed and defenses, leaving it vulnerable to being revenge killed or Pursuit trapped. Victini also suffers from being weak to certain common attacking types like Water, Ground, and Dark. It is also weak to Stealth Rock and is not fast enough to outpace certain Pokémon like Keldeo, Starmie, Weavile, and Latios.
