Victreebel uses the Chlorophyll Ability, which doubles its Speed when there is strong sunlight on the field. Its Hidden Ability is Gluttony, which allows it to consume its Held Berry earlier than usual due to HP loss.
Victreebel is in the Grass Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Victreebel 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.
Victreebel has a similar body shape in comparison to Weepinbell, but it faces the other way. Its large mouth is at the top and it has four sharp fangs. Its eyes are right under its mouth. Victreebel's body is yellowish-green with dark green spots. Above its mouth is a large green leaf connected to a long brown vine, tipped with yellow-brown leaf at the other end. At each side of its body is a large green leaf.
Victreebel doesn't have any distinguishable differences to differentiate between male and female.
Victreebel cannot be found in the wild. The only way to obtain a Victreebel is to evolve a Weepinbell, or to trade for one in games that Weepinbell can't appear in the wild.
A Victreebel can be obtained in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness by evolving Weepinbell once it has been purified.
Victreebel makes appearances at Endless Level 14, Pair Trozei, Forever Level 63 and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!
The only way to obtain a Victreebel in the first set of Mystery Dungeon games, Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky is to evolve a Weepinbell. Victreebel is exclusive to Light Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing on the Path to Treasure Island B8-B14.

James would be reunited with his Victreebel in The Breeding Center Secret. While it would continue to make numerous appearances, the running gag is that Victreebel would do a prompt about-face to try and take a bite out of its Trainer. James would receive a Weepinbell from the Magikarp Salesman in Here's Lookin' at You, Elekid!, only for that one to evolve into a Victreebel and take a bite out of Jessie, leading to its release.
James original Victreebel? It would meet up with the other Victreebel and the happy couple would wander off into the distance.
Another trainer uses a Victreebel in Arceus and the Jewel of Life. Wild Victreebel make appearances in The Power of One and Giratina and the Sky Warrior, along with the Pikachu Shorts "Pikachu's Adventure" and "Pikachu's Rescue Adventure."
Erika uses a Victreebel to battle against Challengers at the Celadon City Pokémon Gym. This Victreebel makes an appearance in Chapter 46.
Crystal would capture a Victreebel for Professor Oak in Chapter 118. It makes an appearance in a flashback in Chapter 331.
Victreebel is in the Borderline 4 (BL4) tier of competitive battling, meaning that it is banned from the PU tier but not used enough to be a part of the Neverused (NU) tier. Its main niche is a sun sweeper, and it excels in that role thanks to powerful STAB attacks in Solar Beam and Sludge Bomb, Chlorophyll to double its Speed stat, a nice Special Attack stat, and Weather Ball to act as a powerful Fire-type coverage attack when under Sun that hits Pokémon that resist its dual STABs. Victreebel can run a Modest nature, unlike its other Chlorophyll Grass-type brethren Exeggutor, without having to worry about being outsped by a number of Choice Scarf users. It has Sleep Powder as well to incapacitate an opposing foe it cannot take out. However, Victreebel cannot function outside of the sun because of its lackluster defenses and Speed stat, which leaves it vulnerable to being revenge killed by strong priority attacks.
