Virizion's Manga Information is unknown as of writing.
Virizion resides in the Rarelyused (RU) tier of competitive battling, where it stands as one of the top tier offensive threats. With a great base 129 Special Defense and a solid set of resistances, Virizion can come in on numerous threats in the tier and take advantage of free turns to set up with either Swords Dance or Calm Mind. Virizion's Speed stat is great as it can outspeed Pokémon such as Manectric, Flygon, and Houndoom. Virizion's attacking stats are less than stellar, but those can be easily remedied after a boost and with high base power STAB attacks like Close Combat and Focus Blast. Its best set is a Swords Dance boosting set that hits hard after a boost with STAB Close Combat and Leaf Blade while having complementary coverage in either Stone Edge or Zen Headbutt. It also can run a great Calm Mind set that can be quite resilient from the special side and hit opposing foes with strong moves like Focus Blast and Giga Drain to go along with Hidden Power Ice. However, Virizion suffers from having a shallow offensive movepool which can leave it walled by Pokémon like Venusaur and Togetic with regularity. Virizon also has some common weaknesses to Flying, Ice, and Fire attacks, all of which can threaten to end its sweep prematurely.
Virizion is also a viable option in the Underused (UU) tier of competitive battling. Due to the prevalence of bulky Water-types in the tier, a Grass-type sweeper like Virizion can find a solid niche due to its ability to use Water-types as set-up fodder. Virizion's great Speed tier and solid bulk gives it plenty of opportunities to set up while threatening offensive and defensive teams alike. It can run a Swords Dance set with a Lum Berry to protect it from Scald burns or a Calm Mind set that can easily boost up against many specially offensive Pokémon. Virizion's biggest flaws are its lackluster power before boosting and that it has some common weaknesses that can be easily exploited, such as Flying, Poison, and Ice. Virizion also does not have the best Defense stat and can be taken out by a strong physical threat like Choice Scarf Mienshao with relative ease.
Virizion cannot breed.
