[edit] Physiology

Voltorb is a Pokémon that has no arms or legs, and is in the shape of a perfect sphere. It is possible to mistake Voltorb for a Pokéball, because it looks almost exactly like one, only with a face. It is possible that Voltorb, along with its evolution, Electrode, are forms of energy. This would explain its ability to explode when agitated.

[edit] Gender Differences

Voltorb is Genderless.
