Walrein (トドゼルガ) is the 175th Pokémon in the Hoenn Pokédex. It is a Water/Ice Type, and it is known as the Ice Break Pokémon.
Walrein only had one Ability when it was introduced in Generation III, the Thick Fat Ability. This Ability cuts the amount of damage that it takes from Fire and Ice Type moves by 50%. A second Ability would become available to Walrein in Generation IV, the Ice Body Ability. This Ability restores its HP while it is hailing. A third Ability is available to Walrein from the Dream World, the Oblivious Ability. This Ability prevents it from becoming infatuated as a result from the move Attract or the Cute Charm Ability.
Spheal can evolve into a Sealeo starting at Level 32, and can evolve into a Walrein starting at Level 44.
Walrein is in the Egg Groups Water 1 and Field, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Walrein 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

[edit] Competitive Battling
Walrein finds itself in the Never-Utilized Tier of Competitive Battling. While it is capable of battling without needing support from Hail to assist its defenses, which are plenty strong enough to take a hit from a type that it has resistance to and strike back with a healthy Special Attack Statistic.
For Walrein to be effective, Stealth Rock can't be present on your side of the field, and opposing Fighting-Type Pokémon cannot be opposing it, particularly faster ones as it doesn't have access to any revenge-KO moves.
