Wide Guard is a Rock-Type move introduced in Generation V. This move protects all Pokémon on the user's side from all moves that can hit multiple targets on the team. The chances of this move failing increase if used in consecutive turns.

This move doesn't just protect from opponents' attacks that hit multiple Pokémon, it also protects Allied Pokémon from taking damage from an ally using Earthquake, Explosion or Surf (for examples). However, Clear Smog, Haze and Perish Song will still work, as this move doesn't protect against those three moves.
