Wingull (キャモメ) is the 27th Pokémon in the Hoenn Pokédex. It is a Water/Flying Type, and is classified as the Seagull Pokémon.

Wingull can use one of two Abilities; Keen Eye, which prevents the Accuracy of this Pokémon from being lowered, or Hydration, which heals Status Conditions when it is raining. Its Hidden Ability is Rain Dish, which will restore one-sixteenth of its Maximum HP at the end of each turn that it is raining.

Wingull gains the opportunity to evolve into a Pelipper starting at Level 25.

Wingull is in the Egg Groups Water 1 and Flying, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Wingull One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Game Information

Original Games

Wingull are very commonplace in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, as they can be found in the grassy areas that are close to the water, along with many different locations when using Surf.

Not nearly as commonplace in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum as they were in Generation III, Wingull still make many appearances, all by using Surf. Different story in Heart Gold and Soul Silver, as Wingull only appears in Vermillion City.

Wingull appears at Route 13, Undella Town and Undella Bay when using Surf in Black and White. In Black 2 and White 2, the only way to obtain a Wingull is to breed a Pelipper.

In Pokémon X and Y, Wingull can be caught in the wild at Route 8, Route 12 and Azure Bay through Horde Battles. In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, it can be caught in the wild in various locations, either in the tall grass or by Surfing.

In Pokémon Sun and Moon, Wingull can be caught in the wild at Route 1, Route 7, Route 8, Akala Outskirts, Brooklet Hill, Hano Beach, Hau'oli City, Kala'e Bay and Melemele Sea.

Spin-off Games

Wingull appears at SOL Laboratory 3, Endless Level 7, Forever Level 7 and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.

Wingull appears in six different areas in the first Mystery Dungeon game: Stormy Sea 1F-5F, Silver Trench 1F-5F, Grand Sea 1F-5F, Remains Island B7-B14, Marvelous Sea B1-B5 and Fantasy Strait B1-B5. In Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, Wingull appears at Craggy Coast B1-B9, Small Path B1-B5, Marine Resort B1-B19, and The Nightmare B1-B17, but Wingull cannot be recruited at The Nightmare.

Wingull is exclusive to Stormy Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing at Jade Lake B1-B12 and Stormy Seas 1F-17F. In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, Wingull can be found at Dream Island 1F-26F.

Wingull appears at the Seaport in Fall City in Pokémon Ranger. Wingull appears at Pueltown and Boil Land in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, Wingull appears on the South Beach and East Beach of Dolce island, and outside Booker's House in the Present. In the past, Wingull's Slate can be obtained by capturing it-or a Pelipper in the missions "Time! Time! Time!", "Save the Frightened Vulpix," and "Rush Ahead! Don't Look Back!".

Wingull can be obtained by completing a Tag Race at the Beach Zone or Iceberg Zone in PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure. In PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, Wingull can be found at Sea Song Beach in the Cove Area after befriending Pidove. To befriend Wingull you'll need to complete a Tag Race.

Trading Card Game

Wingull appears in seven different sets. it is listed as a Common Card in the EX Ruby and Sapphire, EX Sandstorm, EX Deoxys, EX Crystal Guardians, Great Encounters, and Arceus (2) sets.

Anime/Manga Information

Anime

Mr. Briney's Wingull appeared in back-to-back episodes, saving May and Max from a swarm of Sharpedo in the episode Sharpedo Attack!!. Other trainers have used a Wingull in a cameo role, and Wingull has also appeared multiple times in the wild.

Movies

Wild Wingull have appeared in Destiny Deoxys, Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea, and Zoroark: Master of Illusions. Wild Wingull also appeared in the Pikachu Short Pikachu's Summer Festival.
