Yanma (ヤンヤンマ) is the 101st Pokémon in the Johto Pokédex. It is a Bug/Flying Type, and is known as the Clear Wing Pokémon.

Yanma can use one of two Abilities: Speed Boost, which increases its Speed by one stage for each full turn that it is in battle; or Compoundeyes, which increases its Accuracy by 30%. A third Ability is available to Yanma from the Dream World, the Frisk Ability. If an opponent has a Hold Item, this Ability reveals the identity of that Hold Item.

When it was first introduced in Generation II Yanma couldn't evolve. Starting in Generation IV, a Yanma could evolve into a Yanmega if it Levels Up with Ancientpower in its moveset.

Yanma is in the Bug Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Yanma One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Yanma appear at Ruin Valley in Fire Red and Leaf Green. Yanma is a Daily Binocular Pokémon at the Great Marsh in Diamond and Pearl, which won't happen until after the National Pokédex has been obtained. This requirement doesn't exist in Platinum, as Yanma can be found throughout the Great Marsh prior to obtaining the National Pokédex.

Yanma can be found at Route 14 during a Swarm in Black and White. In Black 2 and White 2, Yanma appear at Route 3 and Outside the Pinwheel Forest.

Spin-Off Games

Yanma can be found at Silent Chasm 1F-8F, Pitfall Valley 9F-15F and Remains Island B9-B15 in the first set of Mystery Dungeon games. In Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, Yanma appears at Steam Cave 1F-8F & UP1F and Lush Meadow 1F-5F. Yanma is exclusive to Stormy Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing at Exciting Meadow 1F-11F.

Yanma appears on Union Road in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, but Slam Lv. 1 needs to be used on a tree to find it. In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, Yanma appears inside the Submarine after it crashes and along the River on Sophian Road in the Present, but Yanma doesn't appear in the Past missions.

Yanma can be found at Everspring Valley Forest 4-2 and World Axle Forest B1 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.
