 Pokémon Information
 Competitive Battling
Yanmega is more than capable of holding its own in the Under-Utilized and Over-Utilized Tiers of Competitive Battling thanks to having access to two abilities that are amongst the best in the game. Speed Boost will increase its Speed by one stage at the end of each turn in battle. This boost really helps in terms of outrunning opposing Pokémon with relative ease. Tinted Lens allows for hitting opponents that would otherwise resist its attacks for more damage than usual, and can be paired with Choice Specs for even more damage.
Once the opposing special walls and counters have been addressed, Yanmega makes for a powerful Special Sweeper that is quite capable of tearing through teams. One must be wary of Yanmega's crippling weakness to Stealth Rock when using it.
